First you will need a new piece of string or twine. 

Alone at midnight with only candlelight. Burn some incense and clear the mind. Believe in what you are doing. Pass the cord through the incense, whisper the words of your wish. Begin the recite the words below as you tie the knots. 

When completed pass the cord through the incense again. Extinguish the incense and candle. Place the cord under your pillow, you will have a significant dream. Carry the cord with you as a talisman but you need not tell anyone.

Whilst tying the knots say...... "By the knot of one the spells begun, By the knot of two it cometh true,  By the knot of three so shall it be By the knot of four tis strengthened more,

By the knot of five so may it thrive, By the knot of six the spell we fix, By the knot of seven the stars of heaven, By the knot of eight the hand of fate, By the knot of nine the thing is mine"
